A friend recently described Paisley Prine's sound as, "the Cocteau Twins meet Creedence Clearwater Revival." This is an apt characterization of the swirly, chimey swell, strong melodies, and an occasional crunch the June's employ. Taking cues from Richard and Linda Thompson, Guided by Voices, Cheap Trick, R.E.M., and The Replacements, Paisley Prine offers up inspired, original, modern anthems for the common man.
